9 Pair has been back in rotation and contains some great tunes. Is the rest of the album that you took the two tracks from of similar composition? Or, are Skull Bubbles and Ragged Ass the only jamming tracks there. After reading up a bit, I understand where he gets his intricacies and composition from. Zappa!

Actually, the album is all over the map. Sappy ballads, strange and quirky instrumentals, guitar-hero shredding, ornate Zappa-esque suites, Steely Dan-style jazz-rock, and 3 minute pop masterpieces. It's a truly amazing album, still my favorite MK album and favorite of 2000.
