I received another Ebay scam email. You know, the ones that try to steal your banking and credit information.

Usually, I'll find out who the host is and report them to the IP host ownership.

This time, I had one that linked to a site called: Mamoon.org. A WHOIS look-up revealed that this site was in Jordan and owned by Mamoon Abu Taweelih.

So now I wonder if this is one of the ways terrorsits are trying to finance their operations. Needless to say, all information was forwarded to the Department of Homeland Security.

You should have sent him that info as well, that he cannot hide, or post it on ebay :) for the next buyer to be aware.

Oddly enough, Ebay is very poor about following up on these things. They just give you the ol' be careful line.

He can't read, because I didn't say he personally did the work, but owned the domain where the offending Phishing link was traced to.

...to see terrorism in anything an Arab is involved in? [...further political rant, self-suppressed to keep the peace...] There, I DIDN'T say it.

1) Look at the time the original post was made. 2) Read the various ways terrorist have used our own money against us through phoney charities, etc. 3) Consider the reputation of the country involved.

I think a million is a low ball number. You'll need more time, and a whole lot of coffee.

...your three points prove nothing. I observe that currently Arabs are the terrorees, not us. I figure me and you both go to bed at night with a whole lot more assurance than the average arab in Iraq. I can't help but think of the crowd in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail": "Yes, we did do the nose. And the hat. But she IS a witch!"

Nor does your rambling. I believe the title of my original posting ended with a question mark, thereby begging the question, not making a definitive statement.

...but first, since you think I ramble, about that rambling thing. I wrote one reply, but decided that it bordered on rant (my speciality) and toned it down. I just can't win. Just pass the incident off as a scam, unless of course, you felt terror. In the case of terror, by definition, you were terrorized. I hope this helps.

Newt Gingrich??

Any of several small, slender, often brightly colored salamanders of the European genus Triturus or the North American genera Taricha, living chiefly on land but becoming aquatic during the breeding season.

Uhhh, except for the "slender" and "brightly colored" I'd say yes!

You continue to read things not written. Never said I was terrorized. Yes a scam, a potentially dangerous scam and I also wrote what actions I took. Did you not read that while reading other things I did not write?

I simply read your headline, and I quote: "Terrorist Attack of a Different Kind?". Perhaps I did not have cause to jump to the totally unwarranted conclusion that you felt terrorized. Only such an emotional reaction would justify the term. Now if you did not write that, forgive me, I did not know that Audio Review has a random headline generator. Or is it something else?
