first tell us a couple of things:
projector brand and model
receiver or pre-pro brand and model

I think I will be using the BenQ8700. I have read rave reviews of it, and for a price of $4200 and MSRP of al most $8k can't be beat. Better than the old Sharp XV-Z9000u. The receiver I think I am going to use is the Pioneer Elite VSX-55tx. Thanks.

the pioneer dvd and receiver would be a nice match; if this were my deal i'd seriously consider the sony vplhs20; although the sony is an lcd projector-it's an even better value when viewed with cost vs performance objectives ; hell for that matter you could step even higher in the Elite dvd players( dv59avi) and use an all digital link( HDMI ) between the two .
Add a Stewart Grayhawk screen ( 16:9 ) and you've got a very nice dedicated home theater
