What would one expect to pay for a mint condition turntable like this?

Not very much. I worked for Onkyo in the early 80's when that turntable was a current model. At that time, Onkyo's weakest products were its turntables: all were highly susceptible to acoustic feedback (despite the brochure's claims that the turntables' feet eliminated it), and one model in particular (perhaps the CP-1100, but I can't be sure) didn't even have anti-skating - a serious oversight on the designers' part in Japan which we American sales people were supposed to somehow overlook. The TOTL model, the CP-1280 was outstanding, but all the others were ho-hum, at best. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Regarding your original question, I'd guess about 25 to 50 bucks. 50 is assuming a fairly generous bump if it's never even been used. I wonder if it still might need a belt and a stylus.

Closed eBay auction ($102.50 + $30) for the preamp:
