How's this for a radio show idea? Our local classic rock station is playing four days of live music, aired as though they were at a live music festival. There is a scheduled line-up of acts and the DJs are reporting as if they are watching the bands live. It started at noon today and it's kinda cool to listen to. Of course, it's all classic rock bands so it won't appeal to many people here. But I think that it's a fun concept.

If anyone cares, you can stream it here (http://www.q107.com/index.aspx).

Got it streaming right now. Actually, this is a stupendous idea...too bad its the same cast of bands that usually permiate classic rock radio. Funny, there's a Q101 in Vancouver, also a classic rock format, and they play a lot of Tragically Hip and Red Rider.

Tommorow is a better line up, and they even got older Genesis scheduled for Sunday.

Thanks for the link.

LOL. If you listen to the DJs talk about the line-up, they talk about Genesis playing on Saturday and then the historic Genesis reunion with PG on Sunday. The whole thing is very well produced. The script is believable complete with reports from backstage. There are background crowd sounds during the talking segments and the mic is mixed for a more raw sound as though they were outdoors instead of in a studio.

My only complaint (besides the same old line-up) is that there are too many commercial breaks.

Don't miss the big Max Webster reunion tomorrow at six. Hehehe.
