A record I have owned since the 70's and have worn it out just appeared on Acoustic Sounds site. The album is Maggie Bell's "Queen Of The Night". Maggie is the Scottish queen of the blues. This album is incredible and she covers many great songs in her own unique way. This is my favorite recording of hers.
Next is Nina Simone "Black Is The Colour Of My True Love's Hair". I am a huge fan of the late Nina Simone and this recording covers some songs I have never heard her perform. I am glad they are releasing so much of her material.
The final album is Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings "100 Days, 100 Nights". This was recommended in a post. Since the member suggesting it has such great taste I needed to try it.
The turntable is ready now all I have to do is wait for Fedex.
