Hello, has anybody had any experience with the AMC XP preamp? Any opinions on the sound quality etc? Can't seem to find a review or a thread/blog on the unit.

No experience with it but it appears to be a little more for computer/editing/multimedia applications than most around here would require. That is not to say it's necessarily a bad unit....it does have some interesting features.

BTW, there's no shortage of info links:

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, those links are just for sales. They don't carry an inventory and have never heard the unit. My interest in the unit is purely for stereo and 2 channel home theater. Thanks again!

Very close to your pricepoint is the Outlaw RR2150 which is not an unknown commodity. It might not have the mixing functions but it gives quite a nod to modern convenience, notably USB connectivity and 2.1 crossovers. Here's a link to Stereophile's review: http://www.stereophile.com/integratedamps/306outlaw/

Granted it's a hundred or so more dollars but Outlaw is a respected brand and that unit in particular has a bit of a cult following.
