Hi,
I have a really basic question. How does the sound compare between the 540a and the 540r v2? The reason I ask is because while I can demo the 540a locally, I can't find the 540r locally, but I've found a refurbished 540r v2 cheaper than I can get the 540a new. An integrated DAC would be nice so I can hook up a media station (lossless FLAC on it) to it.
I just want it to listen to music though. Do the 540a and 540r sound the same? A look at the specifications indicates their amp sections are very different.
What about the 340a vs the 340r?
