Hi, welcome to the forum...

any idea where you would want to start, and what your budget would be?

Keep them spinning,
Bert.

Thanks to Basite and Blackraven for information.

I have a SWR Baby Blue II Bass System. The problem is the output transistor getting too hot and sound is distorted. Can any body help me to troubleshoot.

well, we got the budget, thats the first key piece of information. Next is what you actually want us to spend that budget on.

Do you have a source? (CD Player, Turntable, etc...?)
Do you want new speakers?
Do you want/need a new amp?

And don't know it anyone will be able to help you fix that bass amp here. but who knows, we're an interesting bunch, maybe someone will be able to.

Good luck,

My second option is to buy a new AVR and new speakers

Do you have 2 pairs of speakers? or 2 speakers from different brands?

What are you using as a source? (CD player, Turntable, etc..?)

Are you using the setup with video as well? If not i'd say to steer clear of those AVRs... you'll get much better sound out of a stereo receiver.

I want to biwire my speakers, but how can I separate the LF and HF circuit in the speaker crossover network ?

Where to connect, the top binding post has no connection inside the crossover network

Dude, what in gods name are you rambling on about?

I label this one just another TROLL.

Best move to improve this setup is to remove the Cerwin-Vega speakers...speaking from first-hand experience.

Thanks to 02audionoob's advice.

I have Family AVR set up, I replace speaker wire with a solid, single core no. 14 AWG. I can not believed with the result. Previously I was using same size of wire, stranded, monster.I can not described. All music are natural, speech are detailed. Is there an explanation here based on Physics.

IMHO :) I'd go for a matching set of speaks... especially if you can go for 5 of exactly the same speaks .... makes for SUCH a diff. w/ timber matching and all ...and I know I MAY catch flack for this, but especially if you can use an IDENTICAL center (if you're using a center at all) such as another monitor or floor mount (if you are using a video screen or soemthing like that... even better if you aren't using video at all to have 5 matching speaks! You should be able to get hold of Aurum Cantus there, yes? Thier moniors kick ASS .. especially for the $..... 5 of those puppies all around... yum!

I have used this unit as tuner for FM listening. Connected to another AV amplifier, there is no speaker connected to Denon AVR. Can it affects without the load.
