Looking for a good read on HDTVs for noobs

I know a little bit about HDTVs however am looking to gain more knowledge about them before I go get one. So does anyone know where I can find some info breaking things down like Image Contrast Ratio, Progressive Scanning, Resolution, and some other things. Anyone know of one? Thanks

You can Google your topic and turn up a selection of info. www.crutchfield.com is a retail site but have a bunch of articles on basics, plus you can take a look at different TV's, prices, user reviews, features etc. Of course, AR has reviews and us :) Welcome

I don't know of any specific books or anything though.
