In my tortoise like fashion I have finally reached my 2,000th post. Gee it seems like just several years ago I reached my 1,000th post. I look forward to the next several years where I might reach 3,000.

John, thanks for what you do---both in insightful posting and behind the scenes taking care of the place. We'd be lost without you so don't think about taking a powder now...and I second the motion for another 1000 posts as soon as possible.

Congrats JM. LET THE PARTY BEGIN!

And how does a good party get started? That right. With drinks. Just tell this man what you'd like. He'll give you anything you ask for.

We may not know exactly how this party is starting but I think we can guess where it'll end.

Rich is getting back in shape. Must be all that cottage cheese.
He's offed to take the place of our missing bartender. Question is, who will get to him first, FA or JM?
I hear he gives great M.H.

GMichael you better invite some women for Rich. He sounds bored.

Oh and you might want to put a tracking device on bartender #2. In case anyone comes looking for him in the future. Or put one on me and you can find him just as easy.

I must say one of the great benefits of being a moderator is I can read others deleted posts. :biggrin5:

Thanks for all the kind words.

Congrats JM....Though I feel sorry for ya...
Everyone else seems to get beautiful young women at their milestone party's...your eye candy, while I'm sure exceeds adequate to the appropriate persuasion, just doesn't quite seem up to the usual quality I've come to expect. Funny what the Y chromosome does....

Shaving is one thing. Try taking a shower once in a while too. Trust me when I tell you that Old Spice does not cover anything up.

Clearly this little hootenanny needs an infusion of young blood, and Smokey got my attention, so I'm rollin' in...

...and I'm not alone. No, I'm not afraid to show y'all geezers somethin' new. How's about a little dealio like this for entertainment?

http://www.clipov.net/free/oboi/pussycat-dolls1024.jpg

Break out the smoke machine and the disco balls. We're goin'with a little techno/disco with the Pussycat Dolls...maybe a medley of Divine tunes.

And don't think I didn't come baring gifts, no no. Here ya go party boy...

Sorry, I was gonna wrap it and put a bow on top but, you k'now, a rush job and all that.

Got some Gilbert and Sullivan, Miles Davis, Maria Muldaur, and a new one yer gonna hear about soon, Anna Ternheim, all on vinyl for the afterhours cooldown. I'm packin' two cases of Joseph Drouhin Puligny-Montrachet for y'all high-falutin' characters and some crystal Milagro Tequila Romantico for the rest of us. Rich, you get Natty Lite.

FWIW, I actually was going to include my own theme music for this post, my ring entrance tunage as it were, but I couldn't find anything that would pass the censors.

I'm sure that the Moose will be very disappointed.

No doubt. That moose cared for you. That moose wined and dined you. That moose was there through the rough times...and you leave it for the next pretty bottle that crosses your path. But, it's all about you, isn't it? Typical insensitive bastard.

I bet you didn't even leave cab fare on the nighstand for the moose.

GMichael

It wasn't really a moose. It was a moose-head squirrel. Very rare.

Fine. I've got MY OWN bottle of Milagro Anejo. You can keep your sub-standard swill Sticky. :p

I think this is the party where everyone is supposed to bring a dish using the "secret ingredient". How come at JM's party the "secret ingredient" is ALWAYS cocktail weenies though?
