I have attempted everything to fix this problem and cannot find a solution. I've tried a factory reset and still have the problem. I just turned it on one day and it happened. There is a small "ps" appearing on my Yamaha and no sound would output from the speakers. I've called Yamaha and performed the factory reset and that didn't help. I am just past my 2 year warranty and am afraid I may have to spend a large amount of money to get it fixed. Up until now, it has been a great receiver. If anybody has any possible solutions to this problem, please let me know. Thanks!
