We plan to expand our Sonos house system into our kitchen with an extra Sonos box & a couple small speakers. I want to get something that sounds decent, but to put minimal time and money into it. I am looking at two pairs of used small speakers for $40-50 that would fit my bill. I looked up online reviews and am sure both would be adequate. One is about 25 years old, the other about 1 year old.
Pinnacle PN-5+ vs. JBL Northridge E20. My inclination is to choose the Pinnacles because I like speakers from that time, and what I read about them sounds more appealing. Is that crazy? Does the deterioration with age of the components, or some technology/production advances, mean that the more recent speakers would necessarily be the ones to get?
Thanks.
