Is anyone familiar with both of these models? How do they compare in an HT setup?
The Yamaha appears to be a physically larger unit, a bit heavier too, but that's not always an indicator. The extra channel in the 2803 is not relevant to me. I'm not very familiar with Denon's sound quality, though I've always heard great things about them. I do have an old Yammie RX-V795a, love it, but time to upgrade as my new room can benefit from a 6th or 7th speaker. I also need more digital inputs now. Both of these have plenty.
Any other models of comparable quality?
