I most certainly DON'T want to know, Spanky. Some things are better left unsaid and trust me, this is one of those times.

Enjoy your new toys.

As a mod I am not even sure what to do with that one. That is almost worthy of being banned.

SpankingVanillaice

But we are getting off topic here but anyways the reason why I got those speakers is since they have 80 watts of power so they go pretty loud for such a small compac speaker.

Dear Dallas,

Most members do not discuss the intricacies of their sex lives. We insinuate some things but we really do not share quite that deeply. I am also a gay man so I am not writing this out of any prejudice but we do not want to be made aware of how you achieve your pleasures. I am glad you have them but only you and Adam should be aware of them. I am glad you have Adam in your life. Feel free to post about audio but for other interests please find the appropriate site. Fell free to clean up the problematic post or I will delete it.

Duuuuuuuude, for the record that is something BAD.... really BAD... and way too much information.... I'd suggest that you avoid mentioning your fetishes, since I suspect the mods will be forced to ban you if you continue....

EDIT: Please note that when I say that it is bad, I am refering solely to the fetish info and NOT your sexuality...

Anyways about my Philips MMS321 speakers I think out of all they sound the most clearest bass, mids and highs. I mean I don't hear any distortion at all like the M-Audio AV-30 had. I guess Philips is a good brand.

The problem with this thread is not porn or fetishes. That I can handle, I read Dan Savage's column every week. :D

The problem with this thread, like most all threads by SVI is that they are about computer speakers. They are always about computer speakers with no real improvement. If anything this tool has made downgrades over the last year.

Well first of all this forums is about SPEAKERS so isn't computer SPEAKERS still SPEAKERS?????? I know that PC speakers have very good things about them too I mean lot's of PC speakers have good sound and plus they are powered so I don't need a receiver like I use to use when I had my old JBL speakers. So less messy wires and connections etc. I really like the Philips MMS321/17 speakers since they have very good low end for such a small speaker plus they really make bass like a 2.1 meaning I don't need a sub like it says on the box.

You are not confused because of anything I did or said. You were confused long before I jumped into the fray.

But in all seriousness, I don't think you are confused. Your prose, while riddled with grammatical and spelling errors, belies a sophistication that suggests you know exactly what you are up to on these threads - trolling. I don't share the opinion held by many others that you are not playing with a full deck. Rather, you deal the cards like an old salty pro.

And no, simply put not all "SPEAKERS is SPEAKERS." If you're goal is to not need a sub or you are put off by lots of "messy wires" then you are confused about the whole point of this site.

So are you guys saying that my speakers aren't speakers??? I thought they are speakers since they say that they are speakers on the box. Or are you just trying to say that this forums is for people who talk about very very high end speakers? Meaning having a receiver and cables and speakers etc? I thought this is a forum that talks about allkinds of speakers like PC speakers, home speakers, car speakers etc. Or if you want to know more about the speakers you have.

The problem is, you seem to find a new 'greatest sounding $59 ebay speakers ever' every other day. Yesterday it was JBL, today it's Phillips, before that M-Audio was the greatest, then it was Edirol, then back to the JBL's. I don't know what you're going to do when you actually hear a real set of speakers for the first time. You'll probably need more gloves.

they are not the speakers that belong in this part of the forum. If you really want us to know about your pc speakers, then go to the computer audio board, also here on AR.

if you want to discuss your speakers here, then get suitable speakers. If you want to know what suitable speakers are, then ask in a thread or so. Give us a (appropiate) budget, and we'll make some suggestions for you to go AUDITION at a DEALER.

then, of course, you'll also need an amp, No worries, you can also ask for an amp in the amps/preamps section. and we'll be happy to help you.

BUT PLEASE, NO MORE SILLY PC SPEAKERS.

Yeah and it's not a matter of money. I guarantee you can put together a decent classic kit for $100 - $200 on ebay using the likes of Boston Acoustic, Advent, Design Acoustic, Infinity, and Polk for speakers and Yamaha, Denon, Pioneer, and Marantz for amplification. You can easily put together a kit for $200 that would have cost $1000+ retail in the 1990s.

Not that I offer the point for SVI's benefit, but for any nOOb that stumbles in thinking we are being harsh. Anybody with only $200 to spend could ask around and get some very good ideas on how to greatly improve their sound reproduction.

Hey Spanky, there is no such word as "Fedish". Not in English, which is what is spoken on these forums, and not in any other language as shown in the entry below from Dictionary.com.

I suggest, you learn some English, and post about your bitty speakers somewhere else such as felchers_am_I.com and stop trolling here. It was fun for 5 minutes but your stupidity is starting to get old. You are only posting here to get a rise out of people. You got yor reaction, now go away please.

fetish
1613, fatisso, from Port. fetiço "charm, sorcery," originally feitiço "made artfully, artificial," from L. facticius "made by art," from facere "to make" (see factitious). L. facticius in Sp. has become hechizo "magic, witchcraft, sorcery." Probably introduced by Port. sailors and traders as a name for charms and talismans worshipped by the inhabitants of the Guinea coast of Africa. Popularized in anthropology by C. de Brosses' Le Culte des Dieux Fétiches (1760), which influenced the word's spelling in Eng. (Fr. fétiche, also from the Port. word). Figurative sense of "something irrationally revered" is Amer.Eng. 1837. Fetishism in the purely psycho-sexual sense first recorded 1897 in writings of Henry Havelock Ellis (1859-1939).

"In certain perversions of the sexual instinct, the person, part of the body, or particular object belonging to the person by whom the impulse is excited, is called the fetish of the patient." [E. Morselli in "Baldwin Dictionary of Philosophy," 1901]

Oh no! Hyfi brought up Felching. Next thing you know this thread is going to be back down in the muck amongst the Rusty Trombones, Hot Carls, Santorums, and Jalalabad Shakedowns.

But, I thought it was "feltching" with a "t" :D

Also, not everyone hear speaks English, some of us speak American and Canadian, too.

Uma Thurman reading the phonebook in a bare room wearing a burqa is a turn-on. This is the power of Uma. It is a power similar to that often used more sophisticated Hollywood women such as Meryl Streep, Susan Sarandon, Rachel McAdams, Tina Fey, and Kathrine Keener (she even looked good as a dirty hippy in Into the Wild).

Contrast to Jessica Alba, Jessica Simpson, ect.

You got yor reaction, now go away please........

That was not meant towards you, I merely plugged in the words that matched the definition of yours to the original sentence. It did not seem to make sense.

I didn't go ballistic over the word Fedish. (ha, which is flagged as a spelling mistake as you type it here)

I can take it plenty, don't you remember the 2 years I spent allowing you guys to pick me apart on the cable board? I can take as much as I can dish out, or you can dish out.

I have to use Google searches every day for my job so looking up a few online dictionary entries takes a matter of seconds.

There is something about the original poster that really does bug me, but I can not post it here as it is not the right place. I'd be glad to share it off line.

and I too also knew what that word meant. A couple of years ago I got one of my friends to yell it in a public place because they were annoyed at me. I wouldn't tell them what it meant (laughing too hard that they asked), so they yelled "WHAT THE HELL IS FELCHING" loud enough for bystanders to hear.

They are still a little annoyed at me for it, but we both laugh about it now.
