Wow! :yikes: What a production. Good luck with all that, Flo.

I'm sure it will: everything's being do so professionally. Proves I'll never own Grands, though. I couldn't afford to ship them never mind buy them.

I can't imagine what the neighbors are thinking. Wait until you tell them it's your stereo.:yikes: YOu should go out and buy yourself a Metallica t-shirt.

I don't think I've ever seen that much effort to move a pornography collection. We all know what is really in those boxes. :D

Seriously though, that is sweet. Countless words have been wasted arguing about what is and is not an audiophile. But I'm pretty sure that is about as "audiophile" as you get. It isn't cable elevators and cut up racket balls.

How many bodies are in those boxes?:yikes:

crane or not, you're the first one I know that needed an entire truck, just to move his stereo :D

I'll be waiting for more pics of them being set up in the new place, and how they sound there of course :D

Keep them spinning,
Bert.

The funny thing is that its not my "stereo"... its only the speakers. The amps, preamp etc.. projector travel in a seperate package :-)

So while the stereo is in one place and the speakers in the other, do you hook them up to your iPod?

:biggrin5:

Flo, Nice pics, Tim Taylor would be proud of this move.

What's up with the crates? Did they originally come with the speakers, custom made for this move or supplied by the movers?

No iPod ;-)

The wooden crates come with the speaker, its the original packaging.

Nice boom they have rigged up to the sissor lift. Lifting doesn't get much tighter than that. Good job.

Must of cost a few pesos for that move. Now for the fun part of the move, setting up. :cornut:

What an undertaking!  The Eagle has landed.

I can see that Apogee Grands are beyond my reach in various ways.

From what I'm given to believe, in Europe it's fairly common that household goods are lifted to upper stories by pully or crane during moves. In North America we aren't so smart: the normal process is for stuff to hauled up stairways or by elevator. Windows typically aren't designed to be openned wide enough to pass largish objects.

BTW, Flo, how will you store those handsome and necessary custom packing cases? (I wouldn't have room for them either in my house.)

Hi :-)

Most people in europe would use a door for their stereo, guess i am just a bit different. ! The packaging will be stored in my basement, lots of room there too. I got lucky with the windows since the speaker is a bit oversized. But its fun to have.

He gets a discount since he is now a tenant of the moving company. Look closely and you'll see it. :D I thought the name of that company looked familiar.
