Just got a pair from a friend.
THEY ARE THE CHEVY VERSION of PSB'S "pontiac" and paradigms "cadillac".
Anyway my friend has had them for two or three years, and I was always impressed
with the tight bass, imaging, and the tweeters sounded quite good for titanium squealers.
THE CHEAP VINYL is splitting a bit at the corner of one, guess that ones going on the right side, its at the top corner so you don't notice much.
Since giving up on subs I HAVE REALLY BEEN A FAN OFF STEREO BASS.
And since these go down to 28 hz they are better than a lot of subs I have had.
I was worried when I first lit them up, almost NO treble!
But that showed up at higher vollume levels, these suckers need their juice, and I guess so since theres four of them.
These obviously are ideal anthem rock speakers, but how would they do with jazz, r&b, etc?
Well, so far so good, theres a lot of "air", and the vocals of my favorite tracks sound
really good.
And they are good on HT also, they go well with my b&w rear floorstanders and CC,
even so I might look into aa matching CC, since they are 4 ohm for some reason
(probably to get better vollume out of six speakers on each side)
looks like Bi-amping is in my future.
And LOUD.
my god they are loud, tho not as "refined" as my 602's I think I'll keep them.
My disc of getz and gilberto has never sounded better.
Will post a review after I have had them awhile.
Anybody here with a pair? Any opinions?
BTW I bought them for 500 $, cost 1200 new:1:
