What will you do?

I plan on using mine to play the HD-DVD movies I have, along with my std DVD collection. The old DVD player goes to the basement to replace my aging CD player. And there's no sense in over-using the PS3 for std DVD's.
I was going to vote for firing up my PS3 until I saw the porn one. When's it coming out?

wait 'til hd-dvds go below $10, buy up as many as I can and pretend 1) that blu-ray doesn't exist and 2) that all the good movies have already been made anyhow.

Or, never be an "early-adopter" again. Wake me up when the Jess Franco Euro-trash collection is released on blu-ray. Then I'll know it's here to stay.

Meh, I don't own either. I probably won't get a BR player until the PS3 drops its price again. Not enough software, in games or BR, for me to care.

I've been Blu for over a year....I'm up to about 45 or so BD titles so I guess the trend will continue. Hopefully the B1G1 sales continue.

My Toshiba will continue to sit and be used about once per month until I buy something fancy to take it's place. Maybe one of those xbox thingies. It should get plenty of DVD play once I move it into another room. My 2910 still holds the DVD spot in my main system and that's not gonna change.

I only have 12 (5 were free) HD DVD titles and I was gonna dump 'em but GM won't let me :nonod:

So now I'm the HD-DVD police?

"Hey!" "Yeah, you with the silver disks for sale!" "Let me see your licence and tax ID."

F.A. must love our responses on this one. Obviously our minds continually revolve around "da gutter". Porn's leading in a flat out runaway. Sigh.. Like I couldn't see THAT one coming... LOL

And in case he doesn't know it, someone tell Kam we missed him terribly round here and we're very glad he brought his movie star ass back in the tent.

I don't even have an HDTV yet, so high-def has been irrelevant. In a year or two, or sooner if my CRT poops out, I'll do something about it. Meanwhile I bought an Oppo DV-980H.

I'm going to run an HD-DVD player thru my quadrophonic receiver along with my Minidisc player, Digital Compact Cassette and Beta deck, It will be a little format war grave yard.

The sad thing is that in 10 years there will be stalwarts holding on to HD-DVD, just like Laserdisc now, because of various versions of movies and special features that won't be available on other formats. There will be forums filled with people that have 22 different versions of Blade Runner or Beerfest.

Nerd in 2018: "The special features on the 2008 HD-DVD version of Beerfest far exceed the quality of the Blue Ray version."

Actually, the saddest part is that I really do still have a Minidisc in my system. :(

Just be careful talking audio in a bar with a woman. I'd hate for you to admit you have a "minidisc" and be misunderstood. That might cause an awkward moment.
