On amazon.com I was searching for voltage regulators and line conditioners for my stereo system. For aroun 40 to seventy dollars I can purchase tripplite or APC models that are either voltage regulators or line conditioners or both. Although they have no bells and whistles like monster or panamax etc. will these products outperform or keep up with those such as the monster power products that are specific to home theater. Here are a few of the links. Appearance is obviously not a priority of mine.

BM, I feel most people will get good performance out of lower cost power filters, such as this Tripp Lite Isobar Premium Home/Business Theater 10-Outlet Surge (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1044913&CatId=232) Suppressor.

N.B. this unit features "Isolated Filter Banks eliminate interference between connected components". This is a very important feature to eliminate EMI/RFI among your system components, as well as from external sources.

I have never used a voltage regulator, but I would question where the lower cost ones can really supply the current that your power amps will need.

Would you say the isobar would filter as well as the much more expensive monster or panamax products. Thanks again Bill, always a help.
