Before the election in 2000, we heard from all the celebrity morons about how they would move out of the country if Bush won. Whoopi, Alec Baldwin and numerous other bozos thought the country would go down the toilet and that their best option would be to high-tail it to a "better run" nation. Well, these stars certainly had the ability to change their residence, much more than the average citizen.

Have any of them put their money where their mouths were? Have any made good on their "threats"?

Now the whiners at DemocraticUnderground are doing the same:

Soros is sounding pessimistic and talking of moving to Europe, where democracy and the rule of law seems to be in better shape. Is it time yet for the rest of us to start thinking about doing something to save ourselves? Remember, if Bush wins, there's no transition time. Expect him and Ashcroft to come down with both boots. My hubby and I are in our fourties with two young boys. I am seriously considering this. I am thinking about it... whether chimp gets in or Kerry does, things have gotten so bad here I wonder if it is to late to turn them around.
Why don't these idiots LEAVE NOW???? Quit the idle talk and JUST LEAVE! America will be better off without your sorry whiney selves!

Yeah, the whole Celeb wanting to leave the country thing is pretty silly. Sounds like they lied! They said they would leave, but they have not left. Liars! Oh wait, I thought that's why they hate Bush? Because he's a liar. So they are Liars and Bush is a liar. So........................Why do they hate him? Maybe because is their "minds", Bush reminds them of themselves. Hmmmm?

Harsh - but funny.

I guess the context in which they made their statements is something I'd be curious to hear more about. Whatever the context, it's kind of foolish to make a bold statement like they did only to be called on it later.
