First of all, sorry for not using search button much.. (only been here for few hours and there are just too much information here) I am another college students with low budget (upto 800) and willing to buy old components as long as they are functional. I am just thinking about getting a receiver and a good pair of fronts so far. I am not a big fan of boomy bass. I have old set of Logitech surround and a pair of sennheiser headphone. I tried listening to Polk RTI 12 at a frys store, it sounded soo much better than these logitech ones (of course, I know) I am going to hook the system upto my computer via x-fi xtremegamer sound card through optical in. The room is about 250 sq feet in area.

I've been on craigslist to find some deals on receiver around bay area. I've found these few: and I will add in some extra info. What sounds like a good deal so far? I am willing to wait few months to get a good deal.

I just jotted down some selections I've seen. Are any of these good quality and is under affordable price range (under 300 preferably)? Thanks for any input. Hope you enjoy your weekends.

EDIT:

I was also looking at some speakers,

frys have Polk Audio RTI8 for 150 each. With tax + shippig, total comes out to be about 400. which fits my budget about right. How is the quality of RTI8? Thank you again.

I actually have the DTR 7.4, PAID 1200$ for it new, and I mean BRAND new.
Its a goodie, for 200 bucks its a steal, its got a cat cable plug for net radio and
a switch for geting music off of a server also.
And a lot of things that would make ita nice prepro.
Only drawback is this industry is moving so fast, this unit has componet video switching, no HDMI, although the video bandwidth will allow HD (70mhz I beleive).
If you're not concerned with video switching (which you can do with your TV) and just the amps and procs, them its a steal at this price:1:

BTW whenever theres something hiding part of the item (the Integra has a coffee cup in front of it) that sometimes but not always means that its hiding a blemish:1:
