Circuity city has the Sony 52" XBR4 LCD TV onsale for $2999 as well as the Samsung 52" 120Hz. I've been waiting for this price drop as well as their 36 month financing. Any recommendations on which one to get. I'm leaning to the Sony because the new Samsung LCD has a new screen which gives off a lot more glare than the Sony's. The TV will be facing a large bank of windows that why I'm not going with a plasma.

If I were you, I'd include the Sharp AQUOS model too. I purchased their 46" model last July and am very satisfied with it, and a friend purchased the 52" unit, and he too is very pleased. Frankly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Let price be your guide.

The sharp is a very nice unit. I have considered it. But when I saw all three side by side the Sony and Samsung had better detail and color. If I was on a tighter budget i would buy the sharp.

I think I'll just go with the Sony, it has less glare than the Samsung. Samsung decreased the anti-glare effect on its new 52" to get higher contrast. The salesman stated the Samsung sales are down because of it. You might as well buy a plasma TV with its higher glare screen.
I just saw the Samsung side by side with a panasonic 50" plasma and the glare was almost about the same and the plasma was much cheaper. People usually buy an LCD over a plasma because they are putting it in a bright area.

I couldn't dis-agree more! no offense, but as a Sharp Aquos owner, who only owned Sonys previously, I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER buy a Sharp T.V. again.

Sony is my first choice, but also, don't limit yourself to one size, etc. but I would stay with LCD, so good for you for eliminating Plasma....

If you don't mind reconditioned, you can save a BOAT LOAD!

This bad boy looks NICE.
