This is killing me

How can I calibrate my subwoofer which does not have its own crossover setting. Nor does my receiver allow me to set the cross over. I want to set it for around 60 hz because my mains produce low freqencies well and at around 80 hz I begin to localize the sound as coming fromthe sub. It has a thx setting which I assume is 80 hz crossover and a var setting which i assume allows for a variable setting from the receiver ( denon 2801) which I can not touch.

Sure would help if you would list the exact brand and models of all your speakers including the subwoofer. Also what is the location of the sub? You say you are getting sub localization. Does this mean you have it somewhere other than up front?
