...of my almost-completed home theater and was wondering how to link them to this thread. Some guidance would be much appreciated...it's hell being technology challenged.

Hey Roy,
How's about we go a little somethin' like this: http://gallery.audioreview.com/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=167449
Just a "Copy" and "Paste" job from the URL at the top. If you actually want to put the pictures in this you can upload them via the paperclip on the toolbar that appears at the top of the message field.
Peace
PS Nice work on the HT

Thanks Bobsticks! I'm sending a greenie your way ( if I can figure out how). The link (hopefully) is as follows: www.gallery.audioreview.com/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=167449
How come it's not blue?

Oh! It is blue but it doesn't go anywhere. Help!

Easy now, big fella. Take a breath and try it again. It looks like for whatever reason it didn't copy the URL exactly. Look at the difference between what's in blue on my post and what's in blue in your post.
Trust me, I'm no expert on this stuff. Sometimes ya gotta just keep on trying.

To hell with it! If anyone's interested in seeing it (I know I've lost interest by now) click on Bobstick's link. Bless you Mr. Sticks.

I'm guessing that's 6.1. What's the sub and the receiver?
Nice setup cheers

The receiver is the Nad T763 6.1. The sub is the Outlaw LFM-1. Kinda hard to tell what the sub is since I have it turned backwards to facilitate access to the controls (still tweakin'). Since it's downward-firing It shouldn't make any difference. Hopefully.

Just finished watching LOTR: the two towers extended cut with my family:) It's a christmas habit, so we always try to watch one when everyone is here. Even with my modest HT it's simply stunning to watch this.. I just love it when the sub belts out deep bass, it impresses everyone!
(and me:D) Anyway haven't enjoyed a movie like this in a long time and i'm sure your setup lights a smile on your face every once in a while;) (and everyone here at AR who has a decent HT setup). Although my interest is now into 2 channel but HT is way fun.

BTW, what is that speaker behind the Bronze's who's next to the electronics? The sub is on the right no?

The LFM-1 is on the right of the TV. On the left is a Energy ES-8 sub that I used to have behind the couch. After a lot of experimentation I discovered that it blended best with the LFM-1 when in the front of the room, to the left of the TV. The overall bass response just seems smoother, without the pronounced bass hump that I was getting before.
Speaking of LOTR, I am hoping to stage a hobbit marathon (all 3 films) sometime in the near future. My only problem is finding some folks who are as interested in seeing 9+ hours of Middle Earth Madness as I am. Every time I broach the subject to my wife I get "that look". You know the one.

if you zoom in, you can see the porn right next to the indian jones trilogy...... (just kidding!!!)
Hey, those are some nice speaker stands, who makes them? I swear I want to put some photos up, but I'm even more technologically inept than the next guy!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!! I somehow burst out laughing on that one;)
The speakers are Monitor Audio's ( I believe), the previous model to the current Bronze BR2's.
or is it the silver series...
Good luck on the marathon, even though I love them I don''t think I would have the energy to watch them all. Especially the extended cuts. I think 'the return of the king' is something crazy like 4 hours.
So the I was wrong in the end, it's 6.2 eh?

Actually, I keep the porn in a shoebox in the equipment closet.
The speaker stands are homemade by yours truly. I used 1" hardwood dowels countersunk into the top and bottom plates, and used a "sandwich" of steel washers and neoprene rubber washers to decouple the top plate from the dowels, and the dowels from the bottom plate. I also used heavy brass screws, dipped a few times in liquid rubber, as spikes. In retrospect, I should have used beefier materials all around to stiffen everything up even more. Maybe next time...
And yes, the speakers are B2's
