Hi,

I'm a casual listener and I don't have very much experience in the speaker world. My friend left me a pair of JBL L100t3 speakers that are in good condition because there isn't any room in her apt for it. So now the pair of speakers are taking up space in my living room and I'm looking to sell it. I have no idea what to ask or expect for them. My google search goes from several hundred to close to $800 which is a large spread.

Can anyone help so I don't get taken advantage of? I'm a female so instantly someone (a guy) will assume that I have no idea what they are worth which I don't. I'm in NYC and I'm not interested in shipping these items because they are heavy.

Thank you!

If they were given to you, you should go ahead and keep them! Depending on the finish, condition of the drivers and cabinet, they could go from $250 ( Low Side ) to @ $ 450 ( High Side )
That's about what you would find the price to be in the Southeast, it is possible that your area my be a bit higher.

My same exact speakers. If they are still in perfect condition, keep them and invest more on your seperate amp and Preamp. They are great for casual listeners. But if you find it takeing to much space, PM me.

Recently a pair of L00's, (don't know about "t3"), in apparently good condition when on eBay for US$565 ...

T3 is much better looking one. I see those non-t3 on Ebay and I just can't imagine why they would cost that much. They don't look like sweet candy at all.

The L100s are the classic JBL rock monitor from the early to mid 70s, and the L100t was produced in the mid to late 80s, followed by a slightly improved version, the L100t3.

The L100t3 is undervalued in the marketplace, as it is better than the L100 in every way except perhaps in its wood veneer, and of course you couldn't really put the distinctive classic L100 Quadrex grille on them.

It's strange to see some average (or worse) condition L100s go for $300-500, while nice pairs of L100t3 go begging for $200-300.
