A feature of many Quad amps and receivers which is little-known, is that they can be bridged back to stereo. I'm sure that there are some which can not be bridged, but I recall a Pioneer Quad Receiver I picked up at an auction, and I thought the styling was cheesy/ugly, but I bridged it to stereo, and it sounded awesome. The power [80 watts per side] seemed bottomless...

I am not familiar with the term. Could you please explain "bridged back to stereo.
