Had a nice time as usual digging through vinyl at the record show this weekend. Ended up grabbing all the following for anywhere between 50 cents and 3 dollars each:

Santo & Johnny (self titled)
REM – Document
Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Songbook
Best of Jimmy Smith
The Intimate Ellington
Ruin DMC (self-titled)
Al Green – Call Me
Times Square Soundtrack
999 – Concrete
Willie Nelson – Red Headed Stranger

And, on the way out, finally had to break down and spend a little more on a Plasmatics album I was eying. A guy had a promo copy of New Hope for the Wretched that just looked absolutely like new. It was bagged in plastic, the cover was mint, and the record looked like it had never left the inner sleeve. He had $25 bucks on it, but was willing to take $15, so I figured; everything else was a bargain, what the hell.

I don’t think I’m forgetting anything.

Not a bad haul for about $34.50 total, so about 2 new CDs worth.

That's a decent haul. And a good mix. I like the Ella songbook. Don't know Santo & Johnny.
Well done. Enjoy.

Peace

The Santo & Johnny may actually be my favorite of the bunch. It was only a buck and is in really good shape. They were the original performers of the classic Sleepwalk, which I am sure you'd recognize.

Here's a video off YouTube of them performing Sleepwalk in 1959.

Yes, of course. It just didn't click. Senior moment I guess:lol: .
I hope the other discs are in fine shape also. You can't always tell by just looking.

Good job. I haven't had a good haul from a record show in years. Everything is so over priced now with all kinds of "mint!" and "limited edition!" claims. They don't really seem to be as much about just moving stock as they are about bullsh!tting, showing off, and catering to the guys with the portable Vestax players.

Nice find with the Plasmatics record.

I found a near mint copy of WOW once before any of the frickin' KISS collectors got to it. $7.00! I didn't haggle and it now sits in my rack.

I think Wendy still doesn't get the recognition she deserved.
