Hi guys
Just having a problem with my Toshiba 51HX84 television. The HDMI input will not accept a signal, all i get is a green screen.I have tried my Motorola cable box and my Sony bluray, neither one works.I have swapped out the cable for a better one, no change.Any one seen this before?

I've lost picture before but have been able to get it to return by unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in, or hitting the input selector on the remote again. Try unplugging the TV from the power outlet. Sometimes this will reset some of this computerized gizmos. Is your screen normally green when there's no picture? Mine is usually black.

Hey man
This is a strange one, i have tried all the turn off and on in order fixes and nothing seems to have any effect.I tried another cable, same result. It gave me a message box today that said
"Hd copy protection on your display has been compromised" and it suggests i try component.I have been using HDMI from cable box for a few months without issue, bought the Bluray a couple of weeks ago and used HDMI on it with out issue until Saturday and now neither works.

Sorry to hear that. I really haven't had any issues with my current gear. I did have complete drops in picture and sound when I was auditioning AVR's from Onkyo & Pioneer.
Perhaps it's time for a call to Toshiba? Are you still under warranty?

Unfortunately warranty is over and i did call Toshiba but all I got from them was the phone number of the nearest service center.

Yes component works fine but it means i am down to 2 high def inputs so one disc player now must pass through my Anthem along with my cable box and ps2.

I'm at a loss. If it says your copy protection was compromised I wonder if there might be a reset button or procedure. Have you checked the manual's "troubleshooting" section?
Can you tell any difference in picture between the HDMI and component?

I checked the manual and it was less than helpful. As for picture quality, on some material they were close but on others the component looked much better such as SD material from my cable box, HDMI was not watchable at all.HD material is just about a wash.I watched Spiderman 3 last night and the picture quality was excellent.I could live with just component with out a problem but i want the extra input.
