Hello,

I plan to buy a high quality AKG headphones but I have a problem with mine amplifier. The Phone Out has a strange 'bzzz' noise and I'm worried if it could damage the headphones. It's mostly strong at Low and Very High volume, and attenuate itself at Medium volume.

Thanks.

P.S.: I cannot buy a new amplifier (it's a good quality Aeron A2, at least on a SQ standpoint, but suffer a bit from Quality Control). I have to renounce to the new AKG for now?

Headphone or 3/4 jacks are notorious for bending inside and/or shorting out after extensive use. If it's shot, they're not hard to replace and should cost little to fix. I don't know how old your receiver is but if it's old you may just want to upgrade anyway.

Thanks Worf, I'm thinking in changing the amplifier. :(
