I've been looking for my first Home Theater System and have been looking around for awhile, I just looked at the Aspire Systems and they look great. I am just wondering if it is a good system, or just the looks makes up for the poor sound quality? Thanks in advance.

Well I can't speak for much since I only ever heard of the company on Boxing Day. I purchased the AD 900 for $49.99 Cdn http://www.aspiredigital.com/products/dvd/ad900.html

I can tell you that as a DVD player it betters my Pioneer DV 333 handedly in the features department and is no worse as a dvd player for picture and sound. The CD player part of it leaves much - very much - to be desired...but hey you buy it for the DVD player and on that it's quite good...loads of features - hell it even does Karaoke.

Basically this is a very new company trying to get into the market...the best way is to offer what others are offering for less money...don't expect high end but they may be able to make typical Panasonic Sony like units for 1/2 the money until they build up a name.

I had low expectations of the AD 900 and it has pleased me quite a bit - I'm glad I didn't pay more than double for the Sony...since they're no better. http://www.aspiredigital.com/company.html

We are more than happy to help people out around here. But I and other's only give advice WHEN WE KNOW WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT!!!!! There are maybe 20 or 25 people here at best that have suffcient knowledge and expertise to answer most questions of a technical nature. They are volunteers, not professionals!!! If we've no experience with a product then we usually say nothing about it, for good or ill. What good is my opinion to you on a product I've never seen, heard, used or heard about. If you don't get a reply don't get snippy about it, just assume that we don't know anything about it and move on.

Well, I can think of one way... Buy it and try it for yourself. Share with others just as you expect them to share with you. Someone has to be brave enough to try it. Why not you?

And, there's no need to drag The Lord's name into this.
