...ARGH! I can't find a .7z utility for Mac OS X...
never mind...found one
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/27156
but it's a command line utility you have to use in Terminal...yuck.

I used 7zip to compress. I thought that was just a standard zip file and Stuffit or WinZip or whatever could unzip it. Oops. 7zip is free at least (don't know if it works on Mac, though).

Free is good. It's not a format supported by my version of stuffit.
I found a simple GUI that lets you avoid the command window (i.e. drag and drop). It still goes through the Terminal interface but it does it for you. Worked fine. Importing to iTunes..
thanks!

Thanks Slosh, Arcade Fire and Andrew Bird are the only two that I have that made your track list. I've been thinking about putting up my own "half gone". doesn't Davey have that trademarked or something though? ; )
Thanks,
jc

Yea, I used to, but it's been so long since the last one that it expired. Kudos to Sloshy for keeping the spirit half alive ...

Just wanted to say this was a quickie, hence the mp3. The real 2007 YEC will be FLAC'ed. Might have to make that one a two CD set at this rate. Those half gone songs represent 17 albums and that's not even all that I have, with new stuff from Pinback, Earlimart, and more on the way later this year :)

Wait a minute. So Monkey Bones is Davey or just is a schizoid with dual delusional personalities? :out:

Don't know why it has to be one or the other :out:
But the non-delusional reasoning for adopting Monkey Bones as my full-time moniker recently is that I can't post with my Davey account after changing my email addy, and as others have found out, multiple emails to this site have gone unanswered, so I just gave up. I have used MB in the past, on occasion, so I think most know who I am. It's from the title of a silly little comp I did a coupla years ago called Shake Those Monkey Bones.

Wait, I thought Monkey Bones was DBI?
This could go on for a while, couldn't it? : )

Suggestion: change your moniker to MonkeyBoneSlider. Nice ring to it, eh?

What, no Amy Winehouse? ;-)

How about one really great 60 minute set? Am I the only one that prefers this?

Well, then this one is the 60 minute set. Really great I can't help you with.
