I have a BIC DV-5 for a rear channel speaker which is actually a pair of tweeters and a single midrange/woofer with a left & right input that can be bridged.
The receiver I have gives you the option of using two or one speaker(s) for the rear channel(s).

My question is would it be better to use bother channels and wire the speaker enclousure as a 'apir' of speakers even thought they are in the same box, ot just to wire it as a single? The tweeters are on either side of the box at a 45 degree angle. I would be sitting only 2 or 3 feet from the speaker and the speaker is mounted in a corner directly behind a sectional.

Hope that made sense.

If I understand you correctly...You want to do either 6.1 or 7.1 but the speaker is only 2 or 3 ft from your sitting position?
If this is correct...Run 16/2 to the speaker and leave the connecting post. You do NOT need a stereo speaker that close to your ears.

Happy Listening!
