I thought that you might like to know this...
SNAKES & ARROWS ON VINYL
We can also confirm that Snakes & Arrows will be available on vinyl as of June 19th in the US and June 26th in Canada. Only 5,000 copies of this 2LP set will be available, and all will be pressed on 180-gram HQ audiophile vinyl at RTI for the best possible sound.

There will also be 1000 181-gram special limited-edition "Cottonwood Edition" pressings produced from scrapings out of Geddy Lee's nose :ciappa:

Why waste good vinyl on this release?
They should press the old school Rush on killer AAA 180 g vinyl, which runs circles around Snakes and Arrows.
I love Rush as much as anyone but the new stuff leaves me cold.

Gotta admit, I've been out of the Rush game since Roll the Bones. But, and this is a big but, I have been replacing my cassettes and CDs of everything up to Roll the Bones on vinyl. I just found a great copy of Hold Your Fire (What a great example of the "Second Age of Rush") which you don't see often.
About 3 or 4 of my local vinyl haunts stock new releases. If I see it I would pick it up as and excuse to try out some new Rush.

So I get to buy the CD, the vinyl, and the DVD-Audio next month? Gee, I don't love it that much.

One of my best sounding non audiophile lp's is Rush's "Power Windows". They did a great job an that one.
There is no real "audiophile" Rush on lp, is there?

I'm going to pick number C because my oldtimer TT isn't worthy of such a fine pressing. The DVD-A can be pre-ordered at Amazon for $16 bucks ($29 if you buy it together with Fear of a Blank Planet). A good deal IMO.

I have the first Rush album on vinyl on a tiny little label called Moon Records before they were picked up by whoever picked them up.
