So there is this stupid song I always sing in da shower at 6AM.

I dont even know the song, I just know this one "loop" and cannot stop singing it.I always catch myself singing it. Once it's there, it does not go away...
Anyways, it goes somem like this( I think ) by a female singer.
"When/As I wake up in the morning...la la laala la lalaala"

I sing this stupid line about 8 times EVERY MORNIGNG!!!
I think I first heard this song in da mid 90's when there

Help me.

Wake up in the morning there's a snap around the place
Wake up in the morning there's a crackle in your face
Wake up in the morning there's a pop that realy says
"Rice Crispies for you and you and you"

Pour on the milk and listen to the snap that says: "It's nice"
Pour on the milk and listen to the crackle of that rice
Get up in the morning to the pop that says "It's rice"
Hear them talking crisp. Rice Crispies!!

I think you should expand you musical repertory...lol

I think you're thinking of the mid 90s alterna-hit "What's Up (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What%27s_Up_%28song%29)" by 4 Non Blondes.

I sometimes try to sing something in the shower, but I can't sing, so everyone starts yelling that I should stop :)

usually works though...

Keep them spinning,
Bert.

Thanks for replies,

Brulaha,

Yes, I should expand my field a bit more. But the song I'm looking for isnt that peachy. LOL.

Rae,

....great I got another stupid song I'm gonna be singing. But seriously, thanks. I think that What's Up song and the song I'm looking for was released around the same era.

Bert,

There is an African Proverb I first heard from a track on Reflection Eternal.

"If you can talk, you can sing. If you can walk, you can dance."

so stop talking:ciappa:

So wait, are the "la la las" part of the lyrics? Or are those just the words you don't know?

Give us a little more info. What style is it in? Similar to 4 Non Blondes? Lilith Fair? Riot grrrl? Silky R&B?

It was durin that whole phony grundge era, but this particular song wasnt hard at all. Since i dont know who it was, I can't tell you any other songs.

Definetely not power ballards or any or that.

I think I will remain cursed.

Yeah, I don't think I'm gonna be much more help to you. I hate that, though; I've had a jazz tune stuck in my head for about four years that I can't identify, and how do you look that up when there aren't any lyrics?

Well, I appreciate your help either way.

For the Jazz, just go to:

the type in an artist then keep playing it. Just hope it'll play it one day.

Have fun,

Jesus Jay, you have indeed captained the single most retarded thread of the year. We need to get you a girlfriend, or an escort, or an imaginary girlfriend from the Niagra Falls region...somethin'.

Here, just listen to this over morning coffee. It'll chase your demons away.

I swear, if I'm singing that damn Monchichi song tomorrow morning, I'm driving straight up to Indy, and use my hand to make a Monchichi out of you.

You better hope it's not gonna be a rainy day:ciappa:
