Man thats pretty cool stuff JR. I have spent most of my life in BC although I was a teen back then, that bring back some memories. Thanks for that.:cornut:

Yep, 1979. I'd recently bought my APT Holman preamp, Phase Linear 400 power amp, and Denon TU-500 tuner, all of which I owned until recently. I was still listening to my Ohm F Walsh driver speakers; great speakers in a number of ways which I foolishly sold a year or two later.

I love tuners come with old receivers. They made some great stuff, ay?

I've always heard vintage hifi was really expensive, but around $800 for a receiver in '79? What's that after considering inflation, $3500?

Great stuff though,

Multiply the price by three to account for inflation.
Those were good times, even though president peanut (carter) nearly destroyed the economy
