In the company's history it says it was founded as Goldstar in 1958. I remember Goldstar being a very cheap brand of electroinics which was sold even at pharmacies such as Walgreen's.

Their quality has been improving over the last few years. About on the par with Samsung.
Life's Good.
Goldstar bought out all of the Zenith patents and logos. Some of their stuff is o.k. but you have to know what your looking for. They like to put harddrives in plasmas, so that was a big turnoff for me. Most of the other models are entry level.

Pure marketing, after all of the cheap garbage goldstar put out
nobody in their right mind would but an expensive set with
"goldstar" on the front.
I understand they also own Emerson
