Recently came cross this 1994 CD, and this is one hell on an album.

Although I am not into gangster rap, this album contain some of best songs I have ever heard regardless of gender. The language is extremely explicit, but IMO that only add to it profound effectiveness. Critics loved it too.

Too bad he got killed so young.

Probably a good reason to NOT have an album called READ TO DIE.

Can't we have a conversation about music without bringing genre into it?

Does a person's genre matter when it comes to music appreciation?

just outta curiosity...what genre are you?

My be should have used both words. I always get them mixed up :)

If you think thats bizarre, his next album called Life After Death was released exactly one week after he was shot in LA.

I agree... I really gained an appreciation of this record when I picked up a copy after hearing the mind-blowing "Gimme the Loot" off of Darius' Not Music comp. I might be inspired to revisit it this afternoon... thanks for the reminder!

just outta curiosity...what genre are you?Wouldn't you like to know? Let's just put it this way: I'm pretty sure we have the same tastes.

Remember to play it before 10 p.m. as the bass on this album is killer (no pun intended ) :D
