I must confess I had many reservations about this film, but after seeing the trailer I am in the middle ground on it. It appears by the trailer that certain liberties were taken to update hte film a touch, but there also seems to be a sense of keeping some of the original elements in tact. Obviously it's still too early to tell, but I have an ounce of hope at this point, which is better than none I suppose.

Trailer gone from that site, but if you go to the official site, then click on the theatrical trailer link, you can see it.
Yup, I am looking forward to it.
But I thought they were going to do away with the theme?

I am lovin' these HD trailers online. I wonder how they do the compression to keep them streaming....hmmmmm.

I had suspected as much. Was the film given to critics for review prior to release? That is usually a bad sign. I noticed in Newsday when I checked for the review rating I saw none. Although for unsavory reasons I may want to rent it to check out Danielle Harris. That little girl really blossomed.

yes, press screenings/critic screenings are always in advance...I am usually invited, but rarely go because of where I have to travel to and my work/life schedule.
