Jbl L5 What Amp To Use And How Much Power?

I just got this pair of JBL L5 for 200 dollars any suggestion what kind of amplifier i need to used its hook up now on my sourround reciever in my garage its yamaha rxv659 i have a ONKYO M-504 AMP AND A P-304 PREAMP..but thats on my living room..and i dont want to move it..any suggestion how much power do i need to drive the speaker

I couldn't find any info on the L5, do you have a sensitivity rating? Do you want an integrated or does your Yammie have a 2nd zone feature to feed a power amp?

I think that it's best that you feed it enough power, something like 120-150 watts will do fine, more is welcome although you don't need the 300 watts they say you could give them.

The L5s like a bit of power. A receiver will drive them as long as it is decent, but they will really come into their own with a beefy amplifier. That and the L1 were probably the best in the line, IMHO.

I bought a carver tfm-15cb its 100 watts and i also bought a carver reciever on craig list.
here is what i did...i am not sure if i did it right to what i got..i have 7.1 channel on my garage..i use yamaha rxv659..i disconnect the JBL L5 SPEAKER to the yamaha and hook it up to my carver reciever MXR 130 and hook it to the dvd using regular rca cable
and dvd also connected to the yamaha reciever using a fiber optic cable..that way if i wanna listen to stereo music i just used the carver reciever and if i wanna watch movie i turn them both on and yamaha only driving the center,sub and surround speakers...i dont know what to do on my carver tfm-15cb yet at this point...but i can tell this the jbl l5 is sounds really good now using carver reciever the best speaker that i ever have. now i was thinking that i can use my carver amp to power my center speaker...the yamaha have a preamp output...and also have SECOND ZONE? anyway what is the best connection to what i got? YAMAHA RXV 659 RECIEVER,CARVER MXR 130 RECIEVER AND CARVER TFM-15CB AMP...any suggestion please help .
