Taking a plasma tv down steps.Can I do......

I will be buying a plasma tv soon & I will need to take it down a staircase of 30 steps w/ a 80 degree right turn here is my q., Can it be carried flat/back facing down?? P.S For those who have given me info. about console games w/ a plasma tv,I will play them only on my 50" tube tv so,I will not have to worry about the burn in on the Magnavox Plama tv I asked about.Thanks for all the replies!!

A little tilt won't hurt it, but you should do everything in your power to keep it as upright as possible when carrying. The heavy glass panel will crack if its weight is mismanaged. Many plasma shippers put Tip N Tells on the boxes to show this type of abuse. You should be careful, too. Plasmas may not be little delicate flowers, but they definitely have their vulnerability.

you'll be OK if you're quick and carefull about it; Personally I can't beleive you're still going to purchase the Magnavox. What model is it?
