Looking for a upgrade in universal dvd with emphasis on music, any feedback on the Arcam Dv 137?

Had one home for a few days.My thoughts were that the sacd audio was very good, the dvd-audio sound a bit less, although i had only 2 to try.On redbook i found it to be not as good as my Arcam cd73t.
Video was very good but not outstanding.
I did not buy, went for Moon Calypso instead, much better.

Maybe you should choose other item.

Off topic somewhat, you happy with your Arcam cd73t Bill, and what did you pay for it. I've looking at it but ran across some older research on forumns with guys not exactly raving about it.

I found that the CD 73t was as good as i could find in it's price range.I paid about $900.00 cdn for it at the time and it has performed very well for me.I have had it for close to three years. It has a warm sound but with a good level of detail and a nice soundstage. It,of course, can be beaten but i believe you would have to spend double,at least,to beat it.
Having said all that however,i have fallen under the siren call of a Sim Audio Moon player and my Arcam is for sale. The Moon however does cost way more than twice what the Arcam cost.Audio, like life, moves on.Hope this helps.
