Didn't see this until today and didn't see a post here yet...I know that Boston wasn't a lot of posters (here) cuppa joe, but a loss nontheless.

That's tragic. I always liked BOSTON and thought that their 2002 CORPORATE AMERICA was a mighty fine release from a band that really hadn't been around much for about 20 years. It was fresh, yet it still had the classic BOSTON sound. His voice, much like Scholtzs guitar, was quite distinguishable, it's a shame that this band never had much success after their first few hits.

He is said to have been a nicer guy than Scholz, for what that's worth, but, nevertheless, in spite of my not being a fan, the guy could sing. A notable passing.

The NY Times always has good obits.

He was only 55. That's too young, man.

Say what you will about the "band," their first album is a remarkable document when you understand what it is (a basement tape by an amateur hobbyist). And that guy definitely had some pipes.

RIP.

OMG -- what a great voice.

Also, I met his younger sister in Texas........we went out on one date......no chemistry.

Word is he took his own life.

That's wicked harsh.

He had pipes that had few equals.

Bummer.
