Anyone Audition the Quad 22L2 or 21L2, yet?

It's been awhile since my last post, and the cute little message at the top of my browser keeps reminding me, SO................

Has anyone bought/auditioned/back to back tested the L2 series?

I've seen a few pairs of the 22L2's for sale, but there haven't been any reviews or posts. I was just sorta wondering if the sound is REAL close or way different than the older L series which seem favorable.

Anyway, the tax refund check should be here soon and sorta wanted steered in which direction to look.

I was interested in checking out the L2s a few weeks ago, but my local Quad dealer has dropped the Quad line (at least temporarily) claiming that the L2s were trashed in the brittish press as being totallly inferior to the L series.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any reviews to confirm or dispute his claims. So, for the moment I'm listening to other brands and hoping to see some reviews of the L2s soon.

I watch the British Press avidly (well, Hi-Fi News and Hi-Fi Choice), and've seen nothing on the L2 series.
