Has anyone ever hear of these guys at ATS- atsacoustics.com. I was curious about doing a little sound proofing well more like cleaning up the sound, the reverb, and echo flutter so I started to research acoustic sound panels. Wow these were even more expensive than I thought. A lot of HT packages cost $1000 or more and that was for bare bones panels and bass traps. Eventually after almost giving up hope I just happened to stumble upon ATS. Wow what a difference in price. Right away I started to think what's the catch, how can these panels be so much cheaper than there competitors. Well I'll find out. I was able to put in the dimensions of my room, wall composition, floor, windows, ceiling info and the people at ATS recommended 5- 24x24x2 panels. So what the hell I purchased 5- 24x2x2 panels which come with mounting hardware, 3M Super 77 Adhesive, and a 6th panel that I matched up with the fabric color of my choice. This panel is Owens 703 Corning 2" and the panel is 24x48x2. Total cost- $156!

Really curious if any of you have heard of these panels or would believe that they might actually improve the acoustics of the room any for that kind of money?

Thanks,
Lew

Read this (http://forums.audioreview.com/showthread.php?t=20184&page=2) thread and this (http://forums.audioreview.com/showthread.php?t=18676) one. You should find some comparison links and some good info. The Owens 703 2" does very well.

I just did 6 2x4 DIY panels using material from ATS. Owens 703 and burlap fabric. Total came to $155.

Thanks L.J. Very helpful. Looks like the Owens 703 will help with reflections and such.
