Wow, what an exceptional movie.

This could easily have been sentimental and touchy-feely, but instead it's more harrowing than any horror film. It was very smart to shoot this in a documentary style. It really heightened the factual based story of regular people put in a terrible situation. The claustrophobic 3rd act, which took place entirely in the plane in real time was tight as a drum. I was really squirming.

I could really see Greengrass winning the oscar® for his super-tight, yet effortless-feeling direction.

I couldn't agree with you more Troy. This was an exceptional film in every aspect. I personally appreciated the perspective from the flight control towers which was a situation I never recognized as being so complex. Thousands of planes flying in the sky and no real indication of how many were possibly hi-jacked. Astonishing and paralyzing!
