Hi,
I am wiring a larger room for a 7.1 system. I am probably gonna use the recommended X-ls speakers. My longest run will be about 40'. Will a 12ga wire do the job? Do I really need zero oxygen copper wire or can I get away with some good 99.9% copper wire?
Thanks much!

Personally I think that for a job like that, 12ga copper wire should work just fine. When you say the X-ls, you are refering to the Onix Xls right?? If so 12ga copper wire is all you shloud need.

Try this: http://bluejeanscable.com/store/speaker/index.htm
The 10 gauge Belden is inexpensive and sounds good.
