Which of these would anyone recommend?

The Monoprice cable is 24AWG, the cable at JR is 28AWG. For the same price, the Monoprice cable is the obvious choice.

That being said, you don't really need more than 28AWG for a 3ft run, so you may want to consider purchasing a 28AWG HDMI cable from Monoprice for $6, which will perform equally to the one from JR.

Should anything else be considered in making the choice? Like shielding?

No. The 6 ft. monoprice cable will work just fine.
