Certainly not a response to this news story (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/01/16/politics/main2365138.shtml), but I was thinking about it when I chose.

If you don't like that one, my backup is their song "Fear Made the World Go Round" -- which since it's probably going to be a single should be easily found with judicious use of Google or your favourite search engine of choice. Don't be scared that it starts slowly -- it's like two different songs. Though I love the Mellotron.

So...what's yours (song of the day)?

That Dears song is great, isn't it? I first heard it on an Uncut compilation. I liked it enough that I picked up the CD when I was out shopping a couple of days later. The CD was a bit of a grower for me, but that song hit me on first listen.

My SOTD is that little Justin Rutledge ditty, Come Summertime, that I posted the lyrics to last week. Great lyrics and a great melody with this nice lazy, rambling guitar intro. I looked for a You Tube entry on it, but didn't have any luck. This is great, great stuff for those who like that singer/songwriter kind of stuff. He's been winning all kinds of awards for his songwriting skills and after hearing him, it's easy to see why.

So sad. I remember when we used to do this, we couldn't fit all the choices on one CD.

Now we're an EP.

...sorry Dusty but I have been back into listening to entire albums as of late. One song just ain't enough.

:(I considered starting a thread for a new group comp (CRS v13? v14? I forget how many we did now) but the response to this thread kinda killed that notion :(

For me, it is Bonnie Raitt - God Was In The Water.

Yeah, I miss the CRS comp days. I think I have them all. And I think we are on #13, although I'd have to check the cd rack to be sure.

I have several selections that I could throw on a CRS disk.

Why bother with that when all you have to do is upload the track(s) to mediafire.com and then post the link (or PM the link)? Just be sure to rip the track(s) in Apple Lossless or wav or aiff so we preserve CD quality. Hmmm . . . . maybe I should start a new thread after all.
