When we look at ourselves, why do we seem to look different in a photograph, than when we see ourselves in a mirror?

The same reason unconscious and dead people feel heavier than people who are still animate.

because in a photograph, we stand still, and the image is generated and captured by a machine (photocamera) and when you look at yourself in the mirror, you get a perfect image of yourself, and you move, and it's live

Because the camera steals your soul; mirrors just turn your soul over to the dark side.

Tin ear came very close to answer, but rest of you all are hilariously off :D
The answer would be that in a mirror, we seeing ourselves in reverse. But in a photograph, we see ourselves the way other people see us (from front) :)
