Hi I am a newbie.

I busk in town centres and I run my sound through an inverter going through a car battery.
I have a Phonic Powerpod 620 which is a powered mixer.
I did have a 10inch Maplins Pro Sound speaker going through my phonic powered amp but recently got a Yamaha S12e which is a 12inch and i am very pleased with the sound quality, i got mine for £110 in the London PA centre. Apparently they have now been discontinued.
The phonic mixer has a beautiful plate reverb that i use which sounds amazing through this Yamaha S12E.
But i was blown away by the crisp highs and my voice comes across crystal clear .Frequency Response (-10dB): 65Hz-14kHz
The power handling is: 250/500 watt max

Maplins is an electrical specialist shop in which i brought the pro Sound speaker and my freinds were telling me to get a decent established company speaker.

but I am so glad i now have a great set up for doing small gigs and parties.
